Assistant Information & Technology (IT) Manager
The Assistant IT Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT within the establishment. This role involves implementing maintaining and optimizing technology systems to enhance operational efficiency and guest satisfaction. The Assistant Manager collaborates with various departments to ensure seamless integration of technology solutions that meet the hotels needs and standards.
What you will be doing:
- Oversee the design implementation and maintenance of the properties IT infrastructure including networks servers hardware and software systems.
- Ensure the availability security and reliability of IT resources to support daily operations.
- Manage user accounts permissions and access controls for various software applications and systems used within the hotel.
- Collaborate with department heads to identify technology needs and opportunities for process automation or optimization.
- Develop and implement data management policies and procedures to safeguard sensitive information and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor data backups disaster recovery plans and cybersecurity measures to protect against data loss or breaches.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development to empower staff to leverage technology effectively.
- Assist in the development of IT budgets forecasts and expenditure plans in alignment with the hotels strategic objectives.
- Monitor IT expenses identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation to maximize return on investment.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field; relevant certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in IT management or a similar role within the hospitality industry preferably in a hotel or resort setting for at least 4 years.
- Strong technical proficiency in network infrastructure system administration and software applications commonly used in the hospitality sector (e.g. property management systems point-of-sale systems).
- Project management experience with the ability to prioritize tasks manage deadlines and lead cross-functional teams to deliver IT projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of data protection regulations (e.g. GDPR PCI DSS) and cybersecurity best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing technology trends and operational needs in a dynamic hospitality environment.
