Reporting to the Director Capacity Access & Flow
Join a dynamic team driving transformation across Ontarios health care system. As Lead Capacity Access & Flow you will play a pivotal role in advancing acute and hospital-based care programs that ensure seamless transitions for patients across the continuum of care. Collaborating with provincial regional and local stakeholders youll help build capacity and enhance key programs including Diagnostics Surgery Emergency Departments and inpatient access and flowensuring accessible and sustainable care across Ontario Health West.
Here is what you will be doing:
Identify and coordinate opportunities to advance local and regional programs through a deep understanding of Ontarios health care system and innovative best practices.
Analyze health system planning and utilization data to evaluate proposals identify gaps and recommend improvements aligned with provincial and local priorities.
Contribute to provincial planning using both quantitative and qualitative methods; lead stakeholder engagement for program development implementation and quality improvement.
Lead regional initiatives in key programs such as Surgery and Diagnostics; Emergency Department hospital operations; collaborate with hospitals and health service providers to manage risks support change and develop mitigation strategies.
Support regional committees monitor progress toward measurable outcomes and ensure client/caregiver perspectives are integrated into planning and evaluation.
Manage project plans and budgets for planning and integration initiatives.
Ensure adherence to health service accountability agreements.
Promote a culture of workplace safety respect and open communication.
Here is what you need to be successful:
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree / post-graduate college diploma in health administration health planning business administration or a related field; Masters level degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years experience in a multi-stakeholder environment preferably in the health care industry. Clinical or management experience in acute care or related field is an asset.
Knowledge and Skills
Good knowledge of and proven ability to apply planning and analysis methodologies; uses sound judgment to problem solve and make effective recommendations.
Understanding of the current and changing dynamics of the Ontario health-care system and issues.
Proven ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative information from a variety of sources such as information systems/databases provincial reports financial information provider and public engagement.
Proven skill and experience leading and implementing complex initiatives aimed at accelerating transformation change management and program development within a health care environment.
Project Management experience preferably within a health-care environment with proven ability to move complex projects from start to finish. Understanding and experience with embedding quality improvement initiatives.
Successful experience with negotiation and facilitation techniques and processes including experience developing and facilitating complex sessions involving diverse stakeholders.
Solid written and verbal communication skills. Internally communicates with colleagues throughout the organization; externally communicates directly with various stakeholders.
Must be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
