About The Role:

As an underground Mine Surveyor you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling survey activities associated with the mining operation. This role requires strong communication skills the ability to work under pressure and a passion for improving mine safety.

Location: Carrapateena South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster:8 days on; 6 days off

In This Role You Will:

  • Ensureaccurate and timely completion of survey tasks within the underground mine.
  • Produce survey memos for underground development.
  • Update and maintain mine plans.
  • Stockpile volume measurement using UAVs.
  • Adhereto statutory and regulatory requirements related to mine surveying activities.
  • Maintainsurvey control network and conduct necessary check surveys.
  • Completeproduction ring mark-ups and void scans.
  • Work according to underground mine standards and processes.

About You:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively coordinate survey activities and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Post graduate surveying experience (Bachelor Degree or Tafe Diploma) is essential
  • Experience in underground metalliferous mining
  • Proficiency in organising and completing daily underground survey tasks.
  • Familiarity/Proficiency with Deswik CAD Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook) and point cloud processing software (Desirable)
  • Proficiency with Leica Total Stations (Desirable)
  • RePL up to 25kg (Desirable).
  • Australian drivers license (Manual driving required)
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a dynamic mining environment.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to integrate well into a team.
  • Passion for mine safety and the ability to be a safety leader.
