What youd be doing in this role

As Canva scales change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think thats all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things youll be working on when you start but this will likely evolve.

As the Head of Product for Multimedia youll guide the evolution of Canvas social media creation experience helping shift our tools from static to dynamic video-first content. Youll lead teams across Motion Social Media Experience and Video AI bringing a strong creator mindset and cultural relevance to the way we build. Your deep understanding of creator workflows platform trends and content formats will shape how millions create and share on todays social platforms.

At the moment this role is focused on:

• Leading and coaching a cross-functional team across Social Media Video Motion and AI.
• Translating our strategic ambition into features that resonate with creators from AI effects to trendy templates and direct publishing.
• Bringing cultural relevance and a creators lens to Canvas product thinking.
• Partnering across marketing product and engineering to deliver delightful mobile-first video-led experiences.
• Strengthening our presence in the creator ecosystem through partnerships and community engagement.

Youre probably a match if

• You are an experienced product leader leading product teams focusing on creator tools social platforms or video-first experiences.
• Strong instinct for whats cool relevant and on-trend ideally with direct creator experience.
• Experience leading mobile product teams with a sharp eye for performance UX and content.
• You are passionate about the user and building delightful user experiences particularly for enterprise and professional segments.
• You are a coach and builder who is hands-on humble and thrives in ambiguity.
• You have a track record of delivering impact through user growth and revenue.
• You are comfortable leading through complexity influencing across teams and orgs.

By creating intuitive powerful and delightful experiences the team ensures users across all segments can bring their ideas to life. From casual creators to professional designers the supergroup plays a pivotal role in fulfilling our mission to empower the world to design.

The Multimedia Group within Design Experience is on a mission to reinvent how creators build engaging dynamic content for todays platforms. The group currently includes teams focused on Motion Social Media Experience and Video AI.
