Come join the Wolfpack at the Guilmette Educational Complex!POSITION SUMMARY:Guilmette Elementary school offers a range of Specials classes including: Art Music Physical Education Library and Social-Emotional Learning. The Library teacher is an integral part of the Guilmette Elementary Schools mission to create a safe supportive and engaged learning community. The person in this position is responsible for developing and facilitating lessons that support all students in their creative expression social emotional and academic development. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The essential functions or duties listed below are intended only as an illustration of the various types of work that may be performed. This job description does not constitute an employment agreement between the employer and employee and is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and the requirements of the job with specialist curricular lead teachers and staff to support the implementation of a specialist curriculum for grades 1-4. Collect and analyze student-specific and class-wide student performance data (e.g. academic attendance behavioral etc.) and describe trends for the purpose of curriculum development and and implement a specials curriculum for 1st-4th gradeCommunicate and maintain high behavioral expectations for all students and collaborate with administrators and other teachers to develop a culture of growth mindset; encourage and celebrate small improvements in individual and classroom that instructional activities and materials are clearly related to school-wide instructional norms and practices as well as national arts students in any after-school run programs; (stipended positions)Report to and work under the supervision of the building in district-wide professional development growth mindset as a professional educator by being open to constructive feedback and always seeking to improve their methods practices and weekly specialist team meetings and monthly staff educators responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Teach approximately four 60 minute periods;Plan and deliver rigorous lessons aligned to state standards;Update the gradebook on a weekly basis;Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practice;Actively participate in professional development cohort activities and school-wide functions;Implement school-wide behavior management system within the classroom;Provide support accommodations and attention to all students including students on IEPs and 504s;Conduct morning and afternoon homeroom duties during assigned times;Display professionalism at all times.
