Responsibilities
Data Center Systems Administrator
Peraton Citizens Security & Public Services USCG Infrastructure Managed Services (IMS) Program
Serve as a key member of the US Coast Guard IMS program supporting IT infrastructure modernization and managed services to enhance mission execution and support. Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with clients vendors management and IT teams to design install configure and maintain servers networking appliances and data center infrastructure.
Monitor and manage systems to ensure compliance with standards and maximize availability.
Analyze infrastructure performance conduct cost-benefit assessments and implement quality control measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues promptly.
Support warranty and vendor maintenance activities.
Participate in on-call rotation to provide onsite support at the Alexandria VA Data Center.
Optimize workflows and physical connectivity to improve system efficiency and project outcomes.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree with 5 years of experience Masters degree with 3 years of experience or High School Diploma/equivalent with 9 years of experience
U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance
CompTIA Security Certification required
Experience in network cabling installation configuration and troubleshooting
Solid understanding of networking principles (OSI model TCP/IP)
Proficient in Windows and/or Linux installation configuration and troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware VirtualBox)
Experience with system performance monitoring and reliability assurance
Basic scripting skills (PowerShell command line or similar)
Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to safely lift and handle objects up to 70 lbs
