Description of Work

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Individuals hired into a temporary State job must be fully qualified for the job. This temporary position is located in Raleigh NC - Wake County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Correction (DAC). This position is located at 3512 Bush St Raleigh NC 27609.

This position (Administrative Associate with the DAC Comprehensive Health Section) involves direct administrative and technical support to DAC Medicaid Supervisor and staff. A detailed knowledge and understanding of laws policies and procedures for offenders in NC DAC regarding Medicaid/Disability application process. Vast knowledge of prison office policies and procedures to communicate organize and coordinate a variety of clerical and administrative duties necessary for effective management of the program. This position requires management of workflow pertaining to preparation of documents and spreadsheet reports composition of letters and memos the use of office technology compiling records scanning medical health information ordering office supplies organizing and maintaining files posting information using various database for maintaining updated information and mail distribution. The work dynamic involves changes in priorities demanding flexibility and adaptability as well as familiarity with the structure and function of the NC DAC prison system.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
