The Commissioners Office of the Department of Agriculture Conservation and Forestry (DACF) is recruiting to fill a full-time Resource Administrator (Public Service Coordinator I) position with the Bureau of Parks and Lands at its Augusta headquarters. Remote work options are available subject to management approval.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION: This position provides a challenging opportunity to be an integral part of the Department of Agriculture Conservation and Forestry Bureau of Parks and Lands as a critical member of the Resource Administrator team which manages:

  • Internal Controls and Policies
  • Fiscal Resources
  • Revenue-generating systems
  • Assisting with special projects

This position will provide the support that is required to carry out Departmental and Bureau needs and provide financial management and policy development services. Tasks include monitoring account status reports revenues expenses encumbrances travel and cash balances and effectively communicating that information to agency managers; overseeing accounts receivable and payable including billing coding and verification of invoices; and monitoring and reporting on receivables. The position assists program managers with contracts facility and equipment leases and insurances as well as maintenance of internal controls and standard procedure development in accordance with and in compliance with GAAP and GASB.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of State accounting and budget procedures
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of public administration
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory systems
  • Ability to plan and organize fiscal activities
  • Ability to analyze information reach logical conclusions and make sound judgments

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A six (6) year combination of education and/or experience providing leadership to programs and/or management in financial fiscal budgetary technology or internal control development planning and implementation. Education should be in the area of business finance or public administration at the post-secondary level.

Professional work should include experience in any of the following areas: financial/cash management and/or analysis planning technology development and/or management budget development contract development and management report development and management internal policy control development and administrative procedures policy development.
