We are seeking qualified dedicated candidates who are looking for part-time teaching opportunities. Adjunct appointments are temporary and for a specified contract period only.
CCSNH has established employer status within the New England states (Maine New Hampshire Vermont Massachusetts Connecticut and Rhode Island). In compliance with CCSNH policies and state regulations eligibility for employment within CCSNH and its institutions requires residency within a New England state.
Course: College Essentials (1 credit course Multiple Sections Available)
Dates:
Fall 25 and Spring 26 semester; multiple 8-week terms both in-person (day and nights) and online (asynchronous). Multiple sections are available.
Course Description:
This course is designed to help the student learn to be a confident student and to master the skills needed to succeed in college. Every new student must take this course during his or her first semester. Topics to be discussed include: accessing college resources and services navigating Canvas and online learning information literacy time-management self-confidence in an academic environment self-motivation long and short-term goal-setting career goals maintaining physical mental financial and emotional health and wellbeing. A minimum grade of C in this course is required for graduation from Lakes Region Community College.
Minimum Requirements:
Masters Degree in a liberal arts area education or related field.
Previous experience in teaching FYE courses or in higher education is preferred.

Salary: The compensation rate is $800-$950 per contact hour. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
