Job Description

BUSINESS FUNCTION: Programmes
GRADE: ML2/SB1
SALARY: 50000 to 60000 per annum
ROLE TYPE: Hybrid
LOCATION REQUIREMENTS: 3 days in the office 2 days working from home with the expectation to visit sites all around the network as and when required.

Were looking for a Project Manager Property to lead and deliver a portfolio of station improvement projects focused on connectivity accessibility and enhancing customer experience. From concept to completion youll be the driving force behind transformational changes that leave a lasting impact on communities across the North.

What Youll Be Doing

As a key member of our Property Projects team youll:

  • Lead and coordinate the planning design and delivery of multiple station improvement projects from inception to completion.
  • Ensure robust project controls around scope cost programme risk and qualitydelivering results that meet customer and stakeholder expectations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners (including Network Rail) to ensure alignment access planning and efficient delivery.
  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear project requirements business cases and technical scopes that align with industry and railway standards.
  • Oversee contract management activities including design reviews site meetings commercial evaluations and governance compliance.

About You

To succeed in this role youll bring:

  • Proven experience in project management within construction property or rail infrastructureideally with relevant qualifications and membership of a professional body.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets negotiate contracts and lead multidisciplinary teams.
  • A thorough understanding of CDM Regulations CSM HSE legislation and relevant building and railway standards.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels and across organisations.
  • A proactive solutions-focused mindset with the ability to manage complex projects independently and collaboratively.
