You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailWe are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Director - Digital Foundations to join our dynamic team. As an IT Director - Digital Foundation you will play a crucial role in shaping the organizations Digital Foundation strategy and ensuring the delivery of high qualitative services for the following Center of Excellences (CoE): IT Support services IT workplaces IaaS (Infrastructure As A Service) IT network PaaS (Platform As A Service) & Quality Assurance services.
Leadership and Direction:
Set and communicate the Digital Foundation strategy along with the broad actions needed to implement it for achieving the organizations mission vision and values within a function; inspire a large or diverse workforce to commit to these tenets and do extraordinary things to achieve the organizations business goals.
Define digital culture championing Agile processes to encourage experimentation and creating an environment of digital enablement.
Digital Vision and Strategy:
Define and set the digital strategy for Digital Foundation working with both internal and external stakeholders to build and communicate the strategic importance of Digital Foundation services while aligning with broader organizational strategy.
Oversee Digital Foundation assets and orchestrate how the company can successfully leverage them to gain and maintain a competitive advantage.
Budgeting:
Take responsibility for setting and managing Digital Foundation budget so they align with organizational strategy.
Organizational Capability:
Building & identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant Digital Foundation area.
Evaluate current capabilities identify gaps and prioritize development activities.
Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfill their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
Performance Management:
Manage and report on the performance of the Digital Foundation area; set appropriate performance objectives for your direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
Business Planning:
Develop and gain agreement to your annual business plans for a Digital Foundation area ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes i.e. revenues or other key performance indicators (KPIs); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects ensuring cross-functional integration.
Functional Strategy Formation:
Lead the development and implementation of strategy for a significant area of responsibility anticipating complex issues challenges and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy.
Ensure responsibility is taken by yourself during crisis (P1) situations while providing guardrails/advice to the Digital Foundation organization during these moments.
Stakeholder Engagement:
Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including top management level finding out their needs issues and concerns and reacting to them by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Vendor Management:
Manage strategic relationships with Digital Foundation vendors & partners. Organize and attend Partner Governance meetings (Steercos / QBR).
Provide direction towards the Vendors and help within the selection process while renewing contract or partnerships.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Technology Engineering or a related field. Additional business or management education (e.g. MBA) is a strong plus.
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages (e.g. Dutch French) are advantageous depending on the companys location and stakeholders.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach when needed.
Strong people leadership skills and stakeholder skills.
High adaptability to change and digital transformation challenges.
Willingness to travel if required.
