Job Description: Adult Consultant Psychiatrist
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Adult Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team. As an Adult Consultant Psychiatrist you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients ensuring their health and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full and independent responsibility for the clinical care of patients.
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Manage and supervise multidisciplinary teams in both acute inpatient and community settings.
- Carry out thorough risk assessments and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and stakeholders to provide holistic care.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in regular training and professional development activities.
- Engage in a two-stage interview process followed by a meet and greet with the team.
Essential Qualifications
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Full GMC registration with a license to practice.
- MRCPsych or equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Section 122 approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
Desired Experience
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in General Adult settings.
- Experience of working in multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience in both acute inpatient and community settings ideally inpatient settings.
- Proficient in risk assessment and risk management.
