We are looking for a talented and experienced commercial lawyer to fill the position of Corporate Counsel to support the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Sales and Marketing organization. This Corporate Counsel will be part of the AWS Sales and Marketing legal team and will serve as a trusted advisor to the Global Deal Strategy & Programs (GDSP) organization a fast-growing business that leads AWSs most strategic commercial customer engagements across the world.
Key responsibilities in supporting GDSP include negotiating complex cloud services agreements advising on regulatory and compliance issues and the launches of new products and tools and innovating to modernize and scale our legal support. This role will also participate in other AWS legal projects including managing issues that arise in existing commercial relationships and driving simplification efforts.
To be successful in this role you will need to be inquisitive and scrappy enthusiastic about technology enjoy working hard and being continually challenged and thrive working in a team-oriented environment. You will also need to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations and be adept at driving consensus across stakeholders.

- 5 years of legal experience - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - Experience in transactional and technology licensing or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Familiar with IT infrastructure outsourcing telecommunications or cloud services. - In-house experience at a technology or internet company. - Excellent organizational and analytical skills ability to manage multiple projects at once and follow through and a solutions-oriented approach to addressing issues.
