Job Description

Overview

This role will develop a thorough understanding of the NA Transportation and Warehouse management process. Within this role the Logistics Specialist will ensure the monthly and quarterly inventory reconciliations are transacted accurately as well as work with our transportation carriers to ensure a seamless flow of deliveries to customers on sales orders. As a key liaison with the finance team this individual will need to adhere to timely reconciliations to limit financial risk associated with inventory discrepancies.

Major Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage the inventory levels at our warehouses through monthly and quarterly inventory audits blocking stock as necessary monitoring returns to warehouses and monitor reports related to damaged products at all locations
  • Develop and Implement Inventory Improvement Related Projects including supporting the opening and closure of warehouses as the business requirements change
  • Ensure stock accuracy at all warehouses meets target (95% accuracy measured by sku quantity and batch)
  • Responds timely to Customer Service and Warehouses for all supply issues related to a customer order that may have inventory discrepancies
  • Manage 3PL warehouse relationship to ensure proper shipping and storage of FMC materials
  • Assist with Freight Audit and Pay process to ensure timely payment to our suppliers - this includes processing weekly funding requests to A/P
  • Support end of quarter revenue reconciliation process
  • Participate in quarterly inventory review lead by Finance

Experience and Skills

  • 0-5 years experience in Manufacturing Logistics and/or Materials management
  • Excellent communication skills to create effective interactions and results with multiple functional groups (Sales Marketing Customer Service Master Scheduler and Manufacturing) and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly analyze a situation and create a recommendation and act upon.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and task completion dates which compete against each other for time.
  • Result driven and self-starter
  • Demonstrated change management skills.

Education

  • BA/BS in business supply chain or a technical field
