Job Description

  • Completion of Grade 12 and completion of an appropriate certificate program from an approved business college/post-secondary school or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years progressively responsible and diverse office experience including composing correspondence word/data processing taking meeting minutes serving as a first point of contact and providing administrative support successfully

Assets:

  • Certification related to office management or professional administration is preferred

Skills required for success:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft and Google applications POSSE and SAP as required by the section
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
  • Knowledge and understanding of legislation bylaws procedures and/or policies governing the business actions of the assigned area
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and resourcefulness
  • Build and maintain positive relationships and strong partnerships with team members and branch staff
  • Knowledge of municipal government processes
  • Attention to detail and ability to perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information
