The Elizabethtown College Department of English seeks a Remote Adjunct Instructor to deliver foundational coursework in first year composition (HEN100) with emphasis on information literacy the research process and revision. We seek a candidate who uses current composition pedagogy and employs active learning in online environments. This position operates in support of our honors program at Elizabethtown College. This position will start in the fall semester (August 2025). The successful candidate will teach Honors English Composition courses that are largely online asynchronous scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30am-10:50am and 12:30pm-1:50pm. Please note an applicant must reside in one of the following states to be considered for employment: DE MD NJ & PA due to tax limitations. Required Qualifications
Masters degree or higher in English Rhetoric Journalism or Creative Writing. Evidence of teaching experience including experience teaching first year composition. Evidence of experience and expertise in designing remote and asynchronous instruction.
