Job Description

ESL Teacher West Springfield Public SchoolsDuties: - Provide systematic explicit and sustained language instruction to ELs- Utilize WIDA Can-Dos to address academic & linguistic skills and vocabulary needs to accelerate language in each of the domains- Collaborate with SCI (Sheltered Content Instructors) to focus on academic & linguistic support needs in the classroom- Administer progress-monitoring assessments- Review data to determine learning goals for SSPs- Complete WIDA report cards- Maintain EL caseload (data progress SSPs) in Ellevation- Support the implementation of a multi-tiered system of supports (MTSS) for both behavior and academics- Provide updates to families on curriculum and strategies of support for learners at school and : Per Unit A contract.
