Job Description
Position: Wedding & Event Designer
Department: Operations Design
Location: Chicago IL
Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday Wedding season to start full-time for the right designer

Locally crafted flowers for fair and honest prices across locations in Chicago Milwaukee and Detroit as well as overnight shipping to most of the Great Lakes region. Were looking for experienced part-time floral designers with expertise in flower production and wedding or event decor. This creative is an avid green thumb passionate about design with a knack for timelines and efficiency. You will help with our production team in all aspects of wedding/event studio design and installations.

Requirements:
2 years experience in wedding or event floral design
Extensive knowledge of flowers and design techniques
Ability to work weekends and holidays or peak periods
Self-motivated with a startup mentality and growth mindset
Shared aesthetic preferences & values with Flowers for Dreams brand
Duties/Responsibilities:
Design large-scale arrangements for our weddings events and corporate accounts
Studio assistant: workstation and studio upkeep vase and floral prep
Installation lead during peak seasons
Prune and process incoming flowers
Stripping prepping and foaming
Check quality of arrangements to ensure top quality
Wedding prep and design to include: boutonnieres corsages bride and bridesmaids chuppahs arches large focal pieces compotes ceremony pieces centerpieces etc.
