Art Teacher
At Special School District (SSD) every student deserves the opportunity to explore their creativity and express themselves through art. Were looking for an art teacher who is passionate about supporting students with diverse needs and sees art as a subject and a powerful tool for connection confidence and growth.
As an SSD art teacher youll design and deliver engaging adaptive art instruction that meets each student where they are. Youll provide structure and support while allowing for exploration and self-expression.
You wont do this work alone. SSD educators collaborate across disciplinesclassroom teachers therapists specialists and support staffto ensure each student excels to their full potential.

Salary
- $49000 to $83250/year based on experience and education
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree required
- Previous art teaching experience preferred
Certificates Licenses Registrations
- Art K-12 certificate issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) required
Calendar
- 10-month school year (August to June) exact dates dependent on assigned location
