Description of Work
This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. Temporary employees who work an annual average of 30 or more hours per week may be eligible for health insurance coverage under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). Note: Permanent and time-limited NC State Government employees must separate from their permanent or time-limited position in order to work in a temporary position. All temporaries are limited to one NC State Government temporary assignment at a time.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $15.00 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).
This temporary position is located in Butner NC - Granville NC County.
This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 300 Veazey Rd Butner NC 27509.
The incumbent will work Saturdays and Sundays first shift (7:00am-3:00 pm). Will work as needed to cover vacations sickness and emergencies. Due to work requirements and knowledge required for this position at the Switchboard only trained staff can fill in for the listed situations. This position answers incoming calls alerts staff to med stats code blues and TRT situations as well as covers the fire and oxygen alarm systems. This position is also responsible for signing out Motor Fleet vehicles.Knowledge Skills and Abilities / Competencies

- Good public contact and communication skills
- Ability to speak and communicate clearly and decisively
- Knowledge of computer and software programs that are being used
- Ability to work independently assume responsibilities and interact with others successfully and ability to use and operate communications equipment such as phone/switchboard and paging systems.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
