We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Quality Manager to join a leading company in the food manufacturing sector. In this role you will be essential in maintaining and enhancing the high standards of our clients products. You will oversee quality control processes ensure compliance with industry regulations and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise will be key in helping the organization maintain its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Lead and support Quality and Control operatives offering guidance and direction when needed.
Work towards production KPIs in relation to output waste and cost.
Collaborate closely with the site planner to maximize production efficiency ensuring customers receive their orders in full and on time.
Execute the production plan adhering to running orders and volumes.
Train new employees and agency workers on department-specific procedures.
Implement and maintain good housekeeping practices in the workplace setting a strong example.
Ensure strict adherence to Health and Safety Food Safety and Hygiene procedures at all times.
Experience and Skills Required:
Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach team members to meet the required standards.
Proven experience in quality management within the food industry.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including operations technical and hygiene teams.
Passion for taking on new challenges and being innovative.
A proactive approach to taking ownership and responsibility for tasks and issues.
Motivated to achieve the highest standards and inspire others to do the same.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Flexible with working hours to meet the needs of the business.
Ability to take initiative to drive and meet targets.
Location / Reporting:
This role will be based at the companys manufacturing site in Co. Armagh with the successful candidate reporting directly to the Factory Manager.
