recruiting for a full-time Information System Coordinatorlocated in
Anchorage Alaska.
What You Will Be Doing
This position is part of the ORCA Functional State Office group and is one of two help desk staff members responsible for coordinating the ORCA Help Desk which includes tracking of and providing technical assistance to over 700 ORCA users. Under the supervision of the Social Services Program Officer this position is also responsible for coordination of ORCA account administration and for scheduling and leading all statewide training on the ORCA system for both internal and external users.

We Are Seeking a Candidate with the Following Competencies:Computer Skills: Uses computers software applications databases and automated systems to accomplish work.
Writing:Recognizes or uses correct English grammar punctuation and spelling; communicates information (for example facts ideas or messages) in a succinct and organized manner; produces written information which may include technical material that is appropriate for the intended audience.

- The successful candidate may be required to attend multiple training courses normally located in Anchorage.

- Operations Support - Knowledge of procedures to ensure production or delivery of products and services including tools and mechanisms for distributing new or enhanced software.
- Technology Awareness - Knowledge of developments and new applications of information technology (hardware software telecommunications) emerging technologies and their applications to business processes and applications and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.
- Communication - Expresses information (for example ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example technical sensitive controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others attends to nonverbal cues and responds appropriately.
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
Training from an accredited college with a major in business management public administration operations management information systems computer information and office systems computer science informatics or similar and/or professional experience related to the occupational area of the program associated with the position.

Training and education are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction. It includes instruction through formal and informal methods (such as classroom on-line self-study and on-the-job) from accredited and unaccredited sources and long-duration (such as a post-secondary degree) and short-duration (such as a seminar) programs.
Progressively responsible means indicating growth and/or advancement in complexity difficulty or level of responsibility.
Additional Required Information
At time of interview applicant is requested to submit:
