Supervisory Responsibility: N/A
Employment Status: Full Time
Primary Objective: Under the guidance of Preschool Director support the learning and development of preschool age children through play and group instruction.
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED and
- Desire and ability to work with children ages 2 -5 years old.
- Excellent classroom management/support skills.
- Basic to intermediate skills working with computers and school technology.
- Ability to communicate as necessary with parents.
- Excellent written verbal and writing abilities.
- Positive attitude about working with children.
- Desire to be coachable and a team player
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
The duties of this job may include assisting all school subjects including math writing science social studies reading writing and testing.
- Aids the teachers in the instruction of students.
- Aids teachers in testing and assessment of students.
- Provides general administrative and clerical support:
- Assist with preparation of classroom materials assessments monitoring students and evaluating and recording student achievement.
- Assists in preparing materials paperwork documentation and other clerical tasks as directed by the teacher department head or administrator.
- Reinforces learning skills as modeled by the teacher.
- Follows and reinforces classroom management and school discipline policies.
- Assists in supervising the behavior safety and well-being of students in and outside the classroom halls and playground.
- Other duties as assigned.
