The STEM College currently occupies 600 laboratories and facilities across the breadth of STEM disciplines carrying some of the highest risk to the University.
The Senior Manager Compliance and Risk is responsible for leading a new portfolio within the STEM College focused on ensuring the highest quality safety and compliance standards. In doing so they will provide expert advice and leadership to guide safe work practices and meet regulatory requirements that ensure ongoing safe and compliant operations. In addition the role will be responsible for overseeing the establishment and management of a framework that covers all aspects of risk health & safety regulatory assurance and compliance standards within STEM College.
Using this framework the Senior Manager Compliance and Risk will ensure that the STEM College effectively identifies assesses and manages risks. Working closely with each School the incumbent will develop implement and maintain processes policies and procedures that ensure adherence to legislation regulatory standards and accreditation requirements.
