The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) provides analytical technical and program support to promote grow and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAGs support spans the Department of Defense (DOD) Department of Commerce and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. We have an upcoming need for a Senior Systems Engineer & Technical Advisor to provide support to the Office of Strategic Capital at government offices in Northern VA.
The Senior Systems Engineer & Technical Advisor will support the leadership of the Office of Strategic Capital (OSC) part of the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering. OSC develops and implements strategies and partnerships to accelerate and scale private investment in critical supply chain technologies needed for national security. Established in December 2022 to attract and scale investment to national security priorities OSC aims to use U.S. comparative advantages in capital markets and economic competition to ensure critical technology and their associated supply chains needed by the DoD are available and to accelerate the development and deployment of technology critical to current and future warfighting capabilities. The candidate will integrate technical findings risks and issues and provide recommendations on topics covering biotechnology energy minerals and/or space industries. Will support project management processes including implementing systems engineering practices data analytics metrics development and development of verbal and written reports. Apply ability to quickly learn unfamiliar areas maintain focus in a rapidly paced environment with changing priorities and work professionally with partners from diverse expert backgrounds. In addition will support technical working groups conduct meta-analysis of technology developments understand technology roadmaps foster relationships with stakeholders and maintain awareness of state-of-the-art developments.
