Be an essential part of our core team as our Chef to launch the opening of our new school here in Fitchburg scheduled to open June 25th. All staff will begin June 16th. Interested Apply TODAY!
- Plan prepare and serve nutritious age-appropriate meals and snacks in accordance with USDA/CACFP guidelines.
- Accommodate dietary restrictions allergies and special meal plans for individual children as needed.
- Maintain a clean sanitary and organized kitchen that meets local health and safety regulations.
- Manage food inventory order supplies and monitor stock to minimize waste and control costs.
- Follow daily weekly and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
- Prepare bottles and infant meals following proper sanitation and handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of menus food temperatures inventory and meal counts for audits and inspections.
- Collaborate with administrative staff to develop seasonal menus and ensure meal service aligns with program needs.
- Support classroom staff during mealtimes when needed and model positive nutrition practices.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development related to nutrition and food safety
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in food preparation and cooking.
- A food handling certificate or the ability to obtain before date of hire.
- The ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs.
