This role requires full time on site presence.

Your role

CBC News is looking for a Reporter / Editor to be based in New Brunswick and assigned to the Atlantic Investigative Unit. As an applicant you must have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team environment. You have a demonstrated record of impactful and creative enterprise and/or investigative journalism. You are genuinely curious care deeply about truth and are able to hold the powerful to account on issues of injustice and transparency. You are a skilled interviewer an adept researcher and a captivating storyteller. You have the skills to produce stories for rollout in news and current affairs on all platforms and on local regional and national programming. You have a deep understanding of and appreciation for CBCs Journalistic Standards and Practices and media law.

Please note that this is a full time temporary position until March 27 2026.

  • Skills and experience in backgrounding access to information and data journalism.

  • You can work independently as well as make significant contributions to team projects.

Your profile

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interviewing presentation and writing skills.

  • Knowledge and experience in investigative enterprise and multi-platform storytelling.

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team to bring the best to the audience.

  • Possession of drivers license ability to travel and to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

  • Bachelors degree in journalism communications or a related field and/or demonstrated lived experience.
