Job Description

Location: Dry Creek - Adelaide South Australia

About the role:

Aurizons presence in South Australia is expanding and were seeking a driven Terminal Leader to oversee safe and efficient operations.

This role offers the opportunity to take charge of terminal operations across multiple sites ensuring seamless resource deployment optimal asset utilisation and top-tier customer service. Youll be at the forefront of driving safety and operational efficiency while fostering a culture of innovation teamwork and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Foster a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all safety standards and initiatives.
  • Lead and support employees through coaching performance management and engagement.
  • Oversee resource allocation and operational efficiency to meet business and customer needs.
  • Monitor financial budgets control costs and identify opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to drive business objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulatory and industry standards.

About you:

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven leader with a strong background in logistics and operations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment enjoy problem-solving and have a passion for driving efficiency and safety. Your ability to lead teams engage stakeholders and optimise processes will be key to success in this role.

You will ideally have:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a logistics or heavy industrial environment.
  • Proven leadership experience in large-scale logistics operations.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to influence diverse work groups.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to optimise operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations preferably within the road and rail industry.
  • This role would be suitable for a FIFO arrangement from Adelaide or a DIDO arrangement from Whyalla or Port Augusta on a rotational roster.
