Government & Defence provides specialised logistics expertise including relocation services. We work with clients at all levels of government to deliver an extremely diverse range of logistics solutions - from the distribution of healthcare products managing the relocation of their employees delivering fleets of government vehicles through to helicopter rescue services.

Are you passionate about safety quality and building a culture of care Toll Groups Government and Defence division is looking for a motivated HSSEQ Business Partner to join our team. This is your chance to grow learn and contribute to creating safer workplaces while supporting vital national operations. Sitting within our Government and Defence division this role supports the HSEQ for our Managed Services Business Unit a predominantly white collar environment where you will work hand-in-hand with leadership and operational teams to promote a positive safety-focused culture.
Key Responsibilities include:
Collaborate with leaders to bring the Toll HSSEQ strategy to life.
Assist in creating annual improvement plans to enhance safety and achieve an Incident Injury Free culture.
Offer technical support to site teams helping them prevent incidents and maintain a safe environment.
Drive positive organisational change by fostering a strong commitment to HSSEQ objectives and targets.
Support the implementation of Tolls HSSEQ management systems ensuring teams meet their goals.
Partner with key business units to develop tailored HSSEQ plans that address specific needs and challenges.
Knowledge/Experience:
2 years in an Occupational Health and Safety role.
Prior experience participating in audits and corrective action planning.
Experience in relationship management of both internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent working knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
Qualifications:
Certificate 4 in Workplace Health and Safety
Lead Auditor or Auditor qualifications (preferred)
Incident Investigation (preferred)
Facilitating risk assessments (preferred)
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desired)
Car licence (required).
Technical/Professional Skills
Strong planning and organisational skills.
Process improvement.
High level of Microsoft skills in Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work within tight deadlines.
A strong commitment to continuously apply and influence best practice standards.
Results and solutions driven with the desire to make a positive impact.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
