The School of Nursing (SON) at James Madison University seeks an administrative professional to serve as the Clinical Outreach Coordinator to work collaboratively with the leadership team to develop relationships with external partners to ensure valuable placements for students both before and after graduation.
This person will maintain current up to date clinical contracts and marketing materials to effectively recruit high quality students and promote the value and strength of all nursing programs. This person will communicate and engage with alumni to foster advancement within the school.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support faculty in strengthening and increasing partnerships with clinical agencies to ensure student placements for all programs. Seek and communicate new clinical site opportunities to faculty.
Processes and maintain up to date clinical agency contracts.
Gather information on available externships internships and employment opportunities and make accessible to students to facilitate networking. Use multiple channels to communicate opportunities i.e. Facebook various social media email and bulletin boards.
Connect students with alumni working in organizations that they have an interest in.
Organize and execute on-campus recruitment fairs to provide employment opportunities for students.
Recruit students/faculty for all programs. Support faculty in all on-campus events such as choices open houses and graduate information sessions. Attend professional events conferences and hospital education days to attract and inform potential students/faculty.
Maintain and update marketing and communication materials. This includes but is not limited to program information sheets web and print advertising website electronic and printed signs and promotional marketing material products. Create and publish (virtual or hard copy) a semi-annual magazine highlighting students faculty alumni and the SON.
Maintain social media sites to promote communication and engagement between students faculty staff and alumni. Add or update sites based on popularity.
Develop relationships and encourage engagement with alumni through the magazine social media SON website and alumni events. Hold a minimum of 2 alumni events each academic year.

Qualifications:
Must be self-directed and able to complete multiple projects with limited supervision.
Exceptional organization skills and ability and ability to be flexible.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work with a high degree of accuracy.
Evidence of relationship building and marketing skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of principles and best practices of marketing communication and advancement.
Fluency in the Windows computer operating environment and Microsoft Office tools and up to date knowledge of various forms of social media.
