Progress toward these goals is continuously monitored to ensure accountability to students families staff and the wider SummaryThe Assistant Principal supports the schools instructional and operational leadership under the direction of the Principal. As a key member of the leadership team the Assistant Principal helps to implement a shared vision of high academic achievement equitable practices and a positive school culture. The Assistant Principal works collaboratively with staff families and community members to support teaching and learning manage student behavior monitor school-wide systems and ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Duties&ResponsibilitiesInstructional SupportoAssist the Principal in supervising coaching and evaluating educators to support high-quality instruction and the use of assessment effective instructional strategies and support implementation of curriculum and intervention Culture & ClimateoHelp cultivate an inclusive welcoming school environment that affirms the identities of all students families and efforts to implement restorative and trauma-informed practices that support student well-being and positive & SupervisionoOversee daily school operations including student arrival/dismissal lunch/recess supervision and effective execution of school procedures and protocols related to safety attendance and & Community EngagementoMaintain strong communication with families and community partners; support family engagement in school & Data UseoEnsure compliance with district and state policies; assist with the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Section 504 academic and behavioral data to identify trends and support school improvement Collaboration & Professional LearningoFoster a professional culture of collaboration continuous improvement and shared leadership among and facilitate professional development aligned to school additional responsibilities as assigned by the Skills&AbilitiesStrong understanding of effective elementary instructional practices behavioral supports and student success working in urban school settings and serving culturally and linguistically diverse to restorative justice culturally responsive education and inclusive school organizational communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead with empathy and with data analysis and educational technology proficiency in Spanish highly to equity inclusion and eliminating barriers to student &RequirementsEducation: Masters degree or higher in Education Educational Leadership or related : Valid Massachusetts license as Principal/Assistant Principal (PreK6 or appropriate grade span) or eligibility to obtain such licensure upon : Minimum three (3) years of successful teaching experience :oExperience supporting diverse teams and engaging multilingual to the above qualifications may be considered at the discretion of the Range$113059-$124454.00Equal Opportunity EmployerLawrence Public Schools is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering an inclusive environment for employees and applicants.
