Job Description
Location: Watertown NY 13601
Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks
Open to Local & Travel Candidates
Position Highlights:
- Shift: 12-hour Night (7:00 PM 7:00 AM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2160 $2340
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care following established nursing protocols.
- Float to various units as needed to support patient care.
- Assess patient needs implement appropriate care plans and document care accurately.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
- Ensure patient safety including proper use of lifting equipment and mobility aids.
- Exhibit strong leadership skills prioritizing tasks and delegating effectively.
- May assume charge nurse duties when required.
- Coronary Care experience (preferred)
- Previous hospital RN experience (preferred)
- Must have completed at least one successful travel assignment
- First-time travelers will NOT be considered
Education & Certifications:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
- BLS Certification (required)
- ACLS PALS (preferred)
- Possesses a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and provides high-quality patient care
- Assesses patient needs including clinical educational mental and spiritual aspects
- Recognizes and addresses safety issues for self and others including safe patient handling
- Functions well in high-stress situations with strong problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates strong leadership with the ability to prioritize and delegate tasks
- May be required to assume Charge Nurse duties
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and communication skills (written & verbal)
- Travelers must live outside a 60-mile radius from the facility.
- First-time travelers will NOT be considered.
