We are seeking a skilled and motivated Application Support Analyst to provide technical and functional support for mission-critical Mainframe-based Payment System applications. The ideal candidate will have experience in mainframe environments (z/OS) a deep understanding of COBOL JCL CICS and VSAM files and the ability to troubleshoot issues in a high-pressure production support setting.
Requirements
- Provide application support for Cardlink applications including real-time transaction processing and batch jobs.
- Investigate and resolve application issues job failures and data discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Perform impact analysis and root cause investigation for production incidents.
- Provide off-hours support for critical issues.
- Coordinate and perform code migrations configuration changes and data fixes.
- Document standard operating procedures runbooks and incident resolutions.
- Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and audit/compliance standards.
Primary Skillsets
- 5 years of experience in application support or development in a mainframe environment.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Familiarity with payment networks processing (e.g. Visa MasterCard JCB UPI Amex ITMX) is a significant plus.
- Ability to analyze logs abend codes (e.g. S0C7 S0C4) and dumps to identify root causes.
- Solid communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced 24/7 production support environment.
