Requirements
ROLE SUMMARY:
We are seeking a Senior FIS Architect with deep experience in financial services and a proven track record designing and integrating core banking systems. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise with FIS platforms (Profile Horizon Systematics etc.) and a deep understanding of enterprise architecture in the banking domain.
This is a high-impact architectural role responsible for leading the design and integration of FIS core banking systems into large-scale enterprise environments aligning solutions with business goals across retail commercial lending and payments domains.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead the architectural design of enterprise-wide core banking solutions leveraging FIS platforms (e.g. Profile Horizon Systematics).
Define integration strategies and patterns for seamless connectivity across legacy and modern banking systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure architectural alignment across technology product and operations.
Develop target state architectures and migration plans for large-scale FIS implementations or upgrades.
Provide technical leadership on API integrations middleware and data exchange strategies.
Ensure architectural designs align with industry best practices and frameworks (e.g. TOGAF).
Participate in architecture governance and review boards.
Assist in performance tuning security assessments and scalability planning for FIS-based systems.
Engage stakeholders across retail commercial lending and payment domains to ensure business needs are met through architectural solutions.
Contribute to documentation of architecture artifacts including diagrams interface specs and solution overviews.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
8 years of experience in financial services architecture roles.
Deep domain expertise in FIS platforms must have worked with at least one: Profile Systematics Horizon or similar core banking systems.
Strong knowledge of retail and commercial banking deposits lending payments and transaction processing workflows.
Experience with enterprise integration including APIs middleware (e.g. Mulesoft IBM Integration Bus) and service orchestration.
Understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF.
Hands-on experience with designing secure and scalable banking applications.
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience with cloud migration strategies particularly with Microsoft Azure
Azure PaaS hybrid architectures or cloud-native development patterns
Familiarity with digital banking transformation programs
Experience in data architecture core-to-digital integration or event-driven systems
