Job Description
We are seeking a Landscape Architect to join our Municipal and Transportation Design Group. CIMAs Landscape Team is based in our Bowmanville office but this position can be located in any of our offices in Ontario Mississauga Burlington Bowmanville London or Kitchener The successful candidate will work with our Landscape team and collaborate with multidiscipline project teams applying strong technical skills to help deliver a wide range of projects including parks streetscapes trails road reconstruction and transit.
Primary responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within multidiscipline teams
- Develop public realm and site design from concept through to construction completion
- Oversee the development of accurate working drawing packages and construction documents
- Assist in the preparation of presentation material for public consultation
- Support business development and strong client relationships
- Ensure compliance with required design principles and standards
- The ability to conduct tree inventories and complete arborist reports would be an asset
Qualifications :
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or equivalent
- Minimum 5-10 years of experience in Landscape and/or Engineering Consulting environment
- Strong project management skills
- Dedication to design excellence
- Ability to manage multiple project deliverables with overlapping schedules
- OALA Seal and Certificate an asset
- ISA Arborist certification an asset
- Good verbal written and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office suite skills (Word Excel PowerPoint) and familiarity with SharePoint environments
- Valid drivers license and access to a vehicle for site visits
