DescriptionAs a RAMS Engineer youll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of several subsystems and components within the rail sector.
Some of your responsabilities will be:
- Perform advanced reliability analyses for complex railway systems subsystems and components identifying the areas for improvement propose design modifications and recommend maintenance strategies to improve system reliability.
- Assess the availability of critical rail systems including track infrastructure signalling systems rolling stock or power supply. Develop and implement strategies to maximize system uptime minimize downtime and optimize maintenance schedules.
- Assess the maintainability of rail systems to minimize repair times optimize maintenance procedures and reduce lifecycle costs. Integrate preventative maintenance condition monitoring and predictive maintenance techniques to improve system reliability and minimize maintenance downtime.
- Safety assurance: Apply comprehensive safety management principles and methodologies in accordance with industry standards (IEC or CENELEC standards) and regulations (RE402/2013 RD 929/2020).
- Conduct comprehensive security analyses such as HAZID HAZOP FTA and FMEA to identify potential security risks and propose effective risk mitigation measures.
- System Integration Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including engineers designers project managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of RAMS requirements throughout the entire lifecycle of rail projects.
- Provide technical expertise guidance and mentorship to RAMS junior engineers fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Prepare high-quality technical reports documentation and RAMS-related deliverables for internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of RAMS activities including test plans test results and verification/validation activities ensuring compliance with project-specific documentation requirements.
- Assist and support other company activities in the region.
- Create and follow up with potential customers support the railway team in business activities prepare tender documentation and attend business meetings.

QualificationsTo be successful in this role youd need:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of practical experience working in RAMS engineering on railway projects or similar complex systems.
- Knowledge working with RAMS principles methodologies and standards such as RE402/2013 RD 929/2020 and EN 50126 EN 50128 EN 50129 IEC 61508 or related standards.
- Knowledge of RAMS software tools reliability modeling software and statistical analysis tools was desirable.
- Experience in safety assessment and product certification activities.
