Were currently seeking an energetic and experienced Learning & Development Advisor to help us take this commitment to the next level.
As a collaborative driven and team-focused L&D professional you will help build the capability and engagement of our workforce by coordinating and delivering meaningful and engaging training programs. You will work closely with department heads and operational teams to identify development needs support the development of training content implement successful onboarding and compliance initiatives and champion continuous learning aligned with our mission guest experience and strategic goals.
About the Role
As our confident Learning & Development Advisor youll bring a practical understanding of fast-paced frontline service environments and a genuine passion for skill development. In this hands-on role youll design implement and evaluate learning initiatives that are not only accessible and engaging but also directly aligned with our business goals. From onboarding and compliance to leadership development and structured career pathways youll ensure every program supports both individual growth and organisational success. Youll collaborate closely with department leaders subject matter experts and the broader P&C team to identify development needs across varied work environments from wildlife care to food and beverage retail maintenance and guest experience.
A key part of your remit will be leading the delivery of our recognised School-Based Traineeship (SBT) program acting as a central point of contact for providers and stakeholders while supporting the next generation of industry talent. Youll also play a strategic role in shaping the future of learning at NTAQ through your involvement in key projects such as the implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS) to digitise track and streamline the employee learning journey.
This is a role where no two days are the same youll be supporting leaders and team members across a broad and diverse operation helping to build confidence resolve workplace issues and foster a culture of learning inclusion and care. About You
To be successful in this role youll be a motivated and experienced Learning & Development professional who thrives in a dynamic people-focused environment. Youll bring experience in a similar role within a diverse and fast-paced organisation ideally with exposure to the tourism hospitality or visitor experience sector. Youre someone who knows how to deliver practical engaging and impactful training that resonates with frontline teams and youre confident facilitating sessions and speaking in front of groups.
Were looking for someone who is passionate about capability development and committed to fostering a culture of continuous learning. Key skills and experience were seeking include:
A degree in Human Resources Tourism Business Administration or a related field and/or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent) is desirable.
