For our client we are now looking for a Sub-Project Manager to lead projects within HVDC Control & Protection. This is a role with many interfaces and interesting work tasks and you will get great opportunities for learning and development working on projects across the globe with a team culture that is flexible transparent and cooperative.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the execution of medium-sized customer and internal projects ensuring all activities are performed in accordance with our clients policies contractual agreements quality standards health safety & environment requirements financial targets and schedule commitments
- Managing the HVDC Control & Protection (C&P) scope of delivery within an HVDC project including budget time scope and quality
- Facilitating customer interactions discussions and negotiations related to the C&P scope
- Supporting the project team by providing guidance clarifying questions escalating support requests and mediating customer discussions.
- Regularly following up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure progress and delivery.
- Monitoring reporting and escalating issues to management while identifying risks deviations and implementing mitigation actions
- Continuously seeking process improvements and adapting to changing circumstances and organizational needs
- Allocating project tasks motivating and monitoring the project team and providing performance feedback
- Overseeing the delivery of Control & Protection systems including design manufacturing and testing while ensuring budget scope time and quality are met
- Managing interfaces with customers and suppliers and coordinating with internal teams on hardware software and IT/SCADA deliveries.
- Assisting in the test lab to ensure proper testing and quality assurance.
- Traveling occasionally to represent our client effectively.
Your background
- Bachelor or Masters degree in a relevant technical field and several years of relevant working experience.
- 3 years of proven experience in project management in HVDC or experience and knowledge from working with Control & protection system fr HVDC
- Experience of handling a team of 8 people
- You are a certified Project Manager and/or hold a PMP certification from Project Management Institute or IPMA-level C/D certification
- Your are familiar with working with Project Management reporting tools
- Knowledge and experience from system development preferably within HVDC technology but also within Industrial Control and Protection Systems Substation Protection Automation & Telecommunication Systems
- Good communication skills in English both spoken and written is required since you will be part of an international setting where you will need to communicate with people from all over the world. Swedish skills would be advantageous
