The Company is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager to lead their sales team and drive growth within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics and supply chain management with expertise in transportation management systems and account management. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage relationships with clients and carriers ensuring the delivery of exceptional service while achieving sales targets.
Summary
Achieve growth and attain sales targets as directed by corporate leadership
Recruit hire onboard and train new sales representatives (AMs AE BDMs and BDCs)
Weekly one-on-one meetings with sales representatives
Manage performance monitoring of AMs AEs BDMs and BDCs with effective coaching counselling and action plans
Review and evaluate activity reports through Flash reports Zoho activity Operations/Revenue reports weekly
Establish key metrics and accountability for sales team (daily weekly monthly)
Implement action plans to increase business in all sales territories
Travel to various markets and work with sales representatives and collaborate with local management teams.
Participate in sales calls with CGO of Sales in-person or via conference calls
Present sales revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the corporate management team
Establish new opportunities and personal sales that generate additional revenue
Ensure a high level of customer service is delivered to customers
Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service
Travel as needed for customer/carrier meetings and industry conventions
Assist in establishing and developing carrier and vendor relationships
Education Skills and Experience
Bachelor s degree required from accredited institution in business administration or related field required
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience within the logistics delivery and/or transportation industry highly preferred
Successful and verifiable experience as a sales leader or sales manager consistently meeting or exceeding targets
Committed to continuous education through workshops seminars and conferences
Demonstrated ability to communicate present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Strong business sense and industry expertise
Excellent mentoring coaching and people management skills
