Job Description
Our company is a rapidly expanding high-tech startup that specializes in producing optical microsystems created through 3D printing. Our products have a wide range of applications such as wafer-level optical testing of photonic integrated circuits. We work with international corporations in the field of optical communications technology and micromanufacturing. We are looking for a qualified engineer or physicist with industry experience to join our research and development team in Karlsruhe.
Tasks
You will be responsible for the development of cutting-edge micro-optics for optical test and measurement. You will have access to a laboratory and cleanroom environment with a stateof-the-art 3D micro-printer. With unique manufacturing capabilities and powerful metrology tools at your disposal you will have the opportunity to play a crucial role in building up our company. Your main tasks
Improve and develop new 3D printing strategies and intelligent in-line monitoring processes
Integrate new measurement methods and automation in quality control
Develop and validate wave-optics simulation
Extend our fabrication capabilities towards novel functionalities and features
Requirements
Qualifications
Bachelors Masters or PhD in engineering optics physics or similar
At least 2 years of hands-on research or development experience in an industrial
context
Ideally experience in the test sector
