Job Description
Designation: Vice President – PEO Leader
Department: Polycab Excellence Office
Experience: 20 years
Qualification: BE -Electrical / Mechanical or ME.
Context
Polycab grew exponentially in past decade to become the undisputable leader of cable industry in India. The Group continuously improved its operational performance over years but decided to accelerate its transformation given a booming Indian market ambitions on export territories and fierce competitive landscape.
Polycab Excellence Office (PEO) was setup early 2025 to lead the industrial efficiency program with ambition to exceed international benchmarks.
The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and driving these improvements across our operations. He/she will collaborate with various departments and plants (Mumbai Halol Daman) to ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards to the satisfaction of our customers with additional contribution to Group’s profitability.
Responsibilities include
Developing strategies towards operational excellence.
Leading cross-functional teams including plant managers process engineers and operators to identify and implement improvements (eg reduction of costs of non-quality reduction of fixed and variable costs output increase by debottlenecking etc...).
Training and building capabilities within PEO team and across the operations.
Ensuring execution of defined workstreams in reasonable timeframe.
Monitoring and analysing performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
Providing guidance and support to team members to achieve program goals.
Architecting and assistance to digital transformation deployment towards Industry 4.0.
Communicating progress and results to senior management and stakeholders.
Ensuring sustainability
Experience
Head of an equivalent program in manufacturing sector (not necessarily cable) in a company running at least 10 plants with international activities
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma principles and methodologies
Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred
Experience in manufacturing processes
Experience in Quality filed (QA / QC / QE)
Experience in Supply Chain
Skills
