Instrumentation Engineer Valve Specialist / Sittard (NL)

The Role
Ou client is seeking a skilled and experienced Valve Expert to join our team. The incumbent will be responsible for providing in-depth technical expertise in instrumented valves ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of equipment within our production facilities.
Responsibilities include:
Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary technical authority on instrumented valves including selection installation maintenance and troubleshooting. Stay abreast of industry best practices emerging technologies and advancements in valve technology.
Valve optimization: Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize valves for efficiency reliability and safety. Conduct regular assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Lead troubleshooting efforts for valve-related issues providing rapid and effective solutions to minimize downtime. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to extend the lifespan of valves.
Training and Knowledge Transfer: Provide training to operations and maintenance teams on proper valve handling maintenance and troubleshooting procedures. Act as a knowledge resource for internal teams ensuring a high level of competence in valve-related activities.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and safety protocols related to valve systems. Collaborate with regulatory bodies to stay informed about changes in standards and implement necessary adjustments.
Ensure quality assurance and control during preparation and execution of valve maintenance and overhauls. Define critical hold-&witness points to be adhered to in field and shop maintenance &overhauls and ensure these get formally signed off.
Who are we looking for
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience (at least 7 years) in instrumentation preferably in the chemical process industry.
In-depth knowledge of different types of valves materials and their applications.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory requirements related to valves.
Who are we looking for
