Reporting To: Transcription Team Lead / Clinical Documentation Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our healthcare support team. You will be responsible for accurately transcribing audio recordings from physicians and healthcare providers in the UK into written medical documents reports and correspondence.
Key Responsibilities
Listen to and transcribe voice recordings from healthcare professionals with precision
Edit and proofread transcriptions for accuracy grammar and clarity
Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection protocols (e.g. GDPR standards)
Apply proper formatting and terminology based on UK healthcare documentation standards
Collaborate with QA teams to resolve inconsistencies or unclear audio
Meet deadlines for document turnaround and maintain daily productivity targets
Requirements
Proven experience in medical transcription or healthcare administration
Familiarity with UK English spelling grammar and medical terminology
Excellent typing speed and attention to detail
Strong listening and comprehension skills
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Proficiency in transcription software and word processing tools
