Location: Lekki Lagos
Salary Range: 1.8M 2.3M
Work Mode: Hybrid (2 days on-site 3 days remote)
Reports To: Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
Role Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Head of Technology to lead the engineering division within one of our key business units. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical leadership and strategic management capabilities ensuring engineering activities align with the company s goals. This role requires a blend of innovation operational excellence and people leadership to drive product quality and team performance in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
Provide strategic direction and leadership to the engineering team aligning objectives with company goals.
Mentor manage and inspire engineers to promote innovation accountability and growth.
Foster cross-departmental communication and collaboration.
Technical Strategy & Execution
Develop and execute the technical roadmap in support of organizational growth.
Champion the adoption of engineering best practices and methodologies to drive efficiency.
Oversee the development and deployment of scalable robust software solutions.
Product Development & Delivery
Partner with product management to define and prioritize product features.
Ensure timely delivery of high-quality releases aligned with business needs.
Continuously assess product performance for improvements.
Talent Acquisition & Development
Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain top engineering talent.
Provide coaching and growth opportunities to team members.
Cultivate a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.
Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as a key liaison between engineering and executive leadership.
Collaborate with cross-functional departments to drive enterprise-wide success.
Represent the engineering team at conferences and industry events.
PII Data Processor Duties
Design and implement IT systems that enable secure collection and processing of personal data.
Enforce data privacy and protection measures in compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure secure storage and transmission of sensitive data.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
An MBA or equivalent business experience is an added advantage.
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years in software engineering including 6 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated success in managing complex software projects preferably in SaaS or tech environments.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in modern development frameworks and languages such as Java Angular Ionic and Postgres.
Familiarity with Agile DevOps CI/CD Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Leadership & Communication:
Strong interpersonal and team leadership skills.
Strategic mindset with a focus on innovation and delivery.
Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
