Position Summary
As a member of the Supply Chain team you will be primarily responsible for managing logistics operations including coordination with third-party warehouses.
In addition to logistics responsibilities you are expected to gain a broad understanding of the overall supply chain including customer service functions in order to contribute to end-to-end process optimization and cross-functional collaboration
Essential Function
- Manage regular and ad-hoc purchase orders to suppliers using SAP.
- Enhance forecast and intake plans and collaborate closely with suppliers to achieve targets.
- Work closely with freight forwarders to ensure timely deliveries.
- Handle import/export-related documentation within your area of responsibility.
- Support KPI improvements.
- Conduct inventory management activities.
- Manage ad-hoc or irregular logistics operations (e.g. returns exports damage investigations and rework).
- Provide logistics expertise to the sales and marketing teams.
- Contribute to forecast accuracy through your insights.
- Coordinate with transportation providers to ensure timely and accurate shipment movements.
- Arrange special shipments as needed.
- Monitor and resolve shipping errors.
- Ensure the quality of services provided meets required standards.
- Develop and implement processes to improve supply chain efficiency and organization.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer orders inquiries and complaints.
- Build and maintain trustworthy relationships through open and effective communication.
- Stay informed about customer needs and market trends as part of the Supply Chain team.
- Monitor and report significant changes in sales forecasts.
- Conduct monthly forecast updates and maintenance.
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to drive lean and Kaizen activities related to logistics and warehouse operations.
- Handle shipping procedures at the Nakamachidai office.
- Perform all other job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
- Work with OEGR colleagues to understand customer-facing operations and support end-to-end process improvements.
- Demonstrate ownership integrity and proactive communication in daily tasks.
- Take initiative in identifying and implementing improvement opportunities across the supply chain to support profitable growth.
Qualifications :
- College Degree or above
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics operations including import/export duties or a related role.

- Fluent in both Japanese and English (verbal and written).
- Familiarity with the entire supply chain process.
- Experience in supply chain logistics and import/export operations.
- Proficiency in SAP (especially the MM module).
- Ability to work effectively in a multinational and cross-functional team.
- Strong sense of responsibility teamwork and communication skills with the ability to coordinate with others effectively.
- Logical thinking and strong analytical skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables data analysis basic to intermediate formula usage).
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
