Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for performing a variety of routine clerical and operational duties to support the efforts of JBT. The Consumer Support Specialist will handle routine processing and documentation of consumer (non-real estate) loans including collection and verification of the information being provided. This individual will receive review and verify validity of all incoming supporting loan documentation delivered through managed electronic lending portals queues or other avenues of receipt.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Interpersonal skills necessary to promote a positive team environment and provide superior customer service.
  • Review documents to support credit decisions such as contracts verification of income and other related documentation.
  • Ability to interpret credit quality information and decisions according to loan policy and procedures.
  • Understand obstacles that negatively impact customer satisfaction. Make corresponding recommendations to management for improving satisfaction process efficiency or procedures.
  • Conduct verification of loan packages for proper documentation and compliance including review of loan grading and collateral valuation.
  • Send dealer funding via deposit or ACH through finance manager daily.
  • Monitor ACH account daily for accuracy.
  • Manage the phone queue and shared email box to answer inquiries from internal/external members in a prompt professional and accurate manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all JBT policies and procedures in addition to all regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a backup for the daily functions of the department.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment handle difficult and demanding customer interactions and an open office environment.
  • Promote and preserve JBTs values and culture
  • Follow Bank policy and procedure to prevent fraud and financial crimes
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Ability to operate the following office equipment: adding machine telephone multifunction devices personal computer including the MS Word and Excel applications and Internet
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient mathematics skills
  • Thorough working knowledge with loan documentation requirements and government regulations
  • Ability to interpret policies/procedures and loan documents
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • High level of keyboard proficiency
  • Ability to successfully handle confidential materials
  • Work well independently
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 pounds
  • A thorough understanding of the requirements and features of loan programs offered by the bank (rules and regulations policies underwriting pricing practices)
  • Expertise in consumer lending
