Job Overview
The Neuro Technician role at Dr. Moopens Medical College is a mid-level full-time position based in Wayanad. The incumbent will be responsible for utilizing specialized equipment to monitor and assess neurological functions. The role requires precision and expertise in neurodiagnostic procedures to aid in patient care.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in performing electroencephalography (EEG) tests and interpreting results to monitor brain activity.
- Expertise in patient monitoring to ensure their safety and comfort during neurodiagnostic procedures.
- Experience with electromyography (EMG) for assessing muscle health and identifying neuromuscular disorders.
- Strong skills in delivering comprehensive patient care throughout the diagnostic process.
- Competency in medical documentation to ensure accurate and timely recording of patient data and test results.
- Ability to calibrate and maintain lab equipment to guarantee optimal performance and reliability.
- Proficiency in signal analysis to derive meaningful insights from neurological data.
- Experience in neuroimaging techniques to assist in diagnosing and evaluating neurological conditions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conduct neurodiagnostic tests such as EEGs and EMGs to assist in diagnosing neurological disorders.
- Ensure the proper setup and calibration of equipment before procedures to achieve accurate results.
- Monitor patients during tests ensuring their safety and effectively addressing any discomfort or concerns.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures and findings in compliance with medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with neurologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret test results and plan patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about procedures ensuring they understand the process and importance of tests.
- Stay updated with advances in neurodiagnostic technology to enhance skills and improve patient outcomes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety and health regulations.
