Job Description

Trial order operator Liquids Dry blends Erlanger KY
This is an hourly position on 1st shift

Job Description
The trial order operator will perform all duties necessary to safely compound quality products and to ensure delivery due dates for trial orders are met. To operate according to the manufacturing order and management instructions. Follow ISO 9001 good GMPS and HACCP procedures and requirements:

Job Requirements
  • Customer focused respond with a sense of urgency to meet customer due date
  • Prioritize trial order request by due dates and customer rating
  • Follow formula instructions weighing raw materials with precision to create quality products
  • Research raw material inventory locations and order accordingly
  • Compound efficiently focusing on the task at hand following formula instructions
  • Issue off ingredients from inventory utilizing the AS400
  • Follow QC and sampling procedures
  • Follow formula adjustments according to QC and formula requirements
  • Communicate the urgency to QC when necessary
  • Package products according to the customer requirements
  • Clean equipment and entire work area when finished compounding formula
  • Keep work area clean and contaminate free
  • Work efficiently and multi task to achieve the daily trial order goals
  • Investigate different ways of working efficiently
  • Maintain stock of common raw material
  • Contribute to team by performing other duties as assigned
  • Fill in when needed or time permits supporting the sample department
  • Understand and adhere to ISO procedures ensure ISOis compliant and HACCP procedures are followed
  • Utilize training and daily awareness to ensure a safe environment and report any unsafe conditions
Technical and Physical Requirements
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) or above preferred
  • Prefer 1-3 years compounding experience in the flavor industry
  • Physical demands able to stand walk climb stairs up to 8 hours a day
  • Physical demands able to lift 50 pounds
  • Willingness to promote safe working environment
  • Self-motivator ability to multi task detail oriented and customer focused
  • Good Communication skills ability to read write and speak English and communicate clearly
  • Good interpersonal and computer skills (AS400 and PC)
  • Fork lift license preferred
  • Prefer zero written warnings in their personal file
  • Flexibility to change priorities based on customer fulfillment needs
  • Must have strong sense of urgency with respect to obtaining desired results
  • Skills and knowledge understanding the sample manufacturing processes to achieve optimal results
  • Self-motivator with exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage heavy workload and quick turnaround time
  • Work independently a go getter
  • Ability to manage time to accomplish daily assignments
  • Ability to resolve conflicts independently

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location job-related knowledge skills and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.

If hired employees will be in an at-will position and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance Company or individual department/team performance and market factors.
