Order Picker/Packer
Location: Oklahoma City OK 73179
Pay Rate: $15.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM (mandatory overtime possible)
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as an Order Picker/Packer at a local distribution center. This position is perfect for dependable hardworking individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. As an Order Picker/Packer you will play a key role in accurately packaging merchandise for shipment ensuring all items meet company quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack merchandise into boxes or containers for shipment to retail locations.
- Verify item numbers quantities and packing labels for accuracy.
- Inspect merchandise for damage or quality issues.
- Use RF scanners or other tracking systems when applicable.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Meet established productivity and accuracy goals.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily department goals.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year experience (3 years preferred).
- Physical Ability: Lift up to 50 lbs squat sit stand walk and reach daily as needed.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Ability to thrive in a high-speed setting.
- Team Player: Work effectively in both team and independent settings.
- Basic PC Knowledge: Basic computer skills are required.
- Versatility: Perform various job functions within the warehouse department.
- Adherence to Protocol: Follow procedures best practices and report unsafe or unprofessional behavior.
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
