The Department of Educational Administration (EDEA) at the University of Hawaii at Manoa invites applications for a full-time temporary Assistant in the area of Higher Education leadership. We seek candidates whose teaching and scholarship addresses critical questions related to student success access and education programming in higher education. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work considers various voices and prioritizes the (co)production of knowledge both within and beyond academia. This position is open to scholars who utilize a range of methodological approaches. Interpretivist methodologists with critical qualitative approaches to education inquiry are strongly encouraged to apply. Additionally candidates should demonstrate strong commitments to advancing student success for all in research teaching and advising.
The successful candidate will be able to teach courses in the departments Higher Education MEd and PhD in Educational Administration advise and mentor MEd and PhD students and work with students staff faculty and community leaders from a wide range of backgrounds. We welcome candidates who bring a critical understanding of their own life experiences who understand the barriers facing various groups in PK-12 and higher education and who have engaged in teaching research professional and/or public service that promote student learning and development.
